Oscar – the heart and inspiration behind time2letgo

Oscar, my perfect, funny, beautiful Labrador boy, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2015 – and his absence changed my world. His unconditional love, his loyal companionship, and his joyful spirit left an imprint on my heart that time can never fade.

In those first painful days of grief, I desperately wanted to do something meaningful to honour him – something as unique, soft, and beautiful as the love we shared.

But everything I found felt… the same.
Physical keepsakes looked generic.
Online memorial spaces felt cold, templated, and impersonal.
Nothing captured the depth of what Oscar meant to me.
Nothing felt like him.
Nothing felt like us.

And I was grieving so much that even thinking about him brought tears. I longed for someone gentle to guide me – someone who would understand my grief, and someone who could help me create something heartfelt when I didn’t have the emotional strength to do it alone.

I wished I could simply share my favourite photos, a few memories, a video or two… and have someone lovingly craft a tribute that felt like it truly belonged to me and Oscar.

Something I could keep close on my phone.

Something I could visit whenever I just wanted to see my beautiful boy again.

Something created with the same love I would have poured into it myself – if only I’d had the strength.

But nothing like that existed.

So I created time2letgo.

For Oscar.
For me.
For other pet parents just like me – overwhelmed by love, grief, and longing for a place that truly understands.

Oscar’s legacy lives on in every loving tribute created here – and in every heart that finds comfort when they need it most. We hope that here you will find a “cuddle in a click.”
