Blacky (Wails): My Beautiful, Soft, And Gentle Soul.
Blacky or Wails as I loved to call you. My beautiful, playful, loving gentleman kitty. Love you with all my heart and soul. XxOxX
Blacky was a true gentleman, the softest and gentlest cat I’ve ever known.
We met when one fine day, he climbed over our garden wall, wailing at me for a cuddle.
From that moment, we knew we were meant for each other.
Our Life Together
During the day, Blacky enjoyed the best of both worlds, spending time indoors and outdoors. He was never aggressive, even with stray cats; he just wanted to be friends with everyone. His gentle nature was matched by his vocal personality— Blacky never stopped talking! He would wail to anyone passing by either asking for love or treats, always eager for a connection.
Blacky’s Personality
Blacky had a heart full of love. He adored being close to anyone who would offer him affection, always seeking out cuddles and warmth.
His playful side often showed when he teased his adopted sister Millie by batting at her tail, much to her annoyance.
He became a constant companion to his brother, Gucci, following him everywhere. The bond between the three cats was unbreakable, as they cherished each other deeply.
The Rainbow Bridge Calling
On April 14th, 2020, Blacky was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. He needed liquid medication every 12 hours, and he took it without any fuss, showing his resilience. But when Gucci passed away on October 7th, 2021, Blacky became deeply depressed. We leaned on each other, trying to stay positive.
However, just before Gucci passed, a little miracle happened when a young feral black kitten came over the wall, just like Blacky had all those years ago. Blacky immediately calmed the little one and we soon adopted him as Dynamo (Mo). Mo became Blacky’s shadow, bringing joy back into our lives. It felt meant to be, as both Blacky and I found happiness again with our newest family member.
Sadly, Blacky was diagnosed with bladder cancer, the same illness that took Gucci, on May 5th, 2023. He stayed as strong as he could for as long as possible, but on September 14th, 2023, his angel wings came to carry him over the Rainbow Bridge, where he joined Millie and Gucci. Blacky was nearly 14 years old.
I Love You, Your Brother & Sister With All My Heart & All My Soul. My Darlings.
Blacky is a part of my soul and is always in my thoughts, just like Millie and Gucci. I feel his presence with us and I’m sure he checks in with me and Mo just to make sure we’re both doing okay.
My three amigos will always be with me in my heart and soul. Until we meet again, I will treasure every moment we shared. Your Loving Mum forever.
